Infrared Thermography Imaging

Indoor Environmental Experts, Inc., uses advanced infrared thermal imaging technology equipment. Using thermal infrared cams allows our technicians to get a real time image of activity taking place under walls, below concrete foundations, in roofs and within any building structure without the need to cut holes or even remove ceiling tiles. Our infrared equipment provides a visual display of the range of of heat emitted by all objects embedded within a structure.

Reasons For Using Thermal Imaging For Indoor Inspections

In the past, structural damage was not apparent until the damage had already been done or through visual inspection that required the removal of floorboards, ceiling tiles, paneling and other parts of the building.

The clear advantage of using thermal imaging is that it allows technicians to see through the the structure without the removal of these building parts. In addition, a pre-inspection a technician can quickly detect problems inside the hidden portions of the entire building. Whether used for preventative detection or to determine the source of an existing problem, thermal imaging is non-invasive, faster and less costly than tearing up floor boards.

How Infrared Thermal Imaging Works - In Brief

Everything emits some amount of heat. When a thermal cam is activated within a room the high-tech software automatically measures all heat sources and dynamically generates a heat scale based on the readings. During this process the thermal cam can measure heat from objects in the room in addition to objects inside walls, ceilings, floors and electrical devices.

Our infrared thermal imaging camera can show what is behind solid structures including pipes, wiring, mold, insulation, joints, studs, conduits and much more!

Did You Know?

Infrared cameras produce images of "heat" radiation, even very cold objects, like ice cubes, emit radiation that will show up on the camera!
