Find The Faults Before You Buy That New Home Or Building

A property condition assessment is a professional service designed to assist owners, purchasers and lenders to learn more about their existing building or a building that is going to be purchased. The assessment typically consists of an evaluation of the existing buildings wiring, ventilation, plumbing, cooling, heating, insulation and overall structural integrity. Our professional inspectors recommend improvements to assess the physical condition, general code compliance, repair and maintenance issues, recommended replacements, capital expenditures and opinions of probable costs for corrective action.

Inspection of Existing Homes And Buildings

Indoor Environmental Experts, Inc., has experience assessing the overall energy efficiency of homes through an on-site visual and infrared thermal imaging inspection. The home assessment includes a visual assessment of air infiltration locations, insulation, windows, ventilation, moisture issues, and HVAC systems. Blower door and duct blaster tests are conducted to assess air infiltration and duct leakage. In addition to energy measures, consideration is given to potential problems with indoor air quality. Upon finalization of the inspection IEE provides a report that summarizes the findings with prioritized details of faults and recommends the steps necessary to improve the dwelling.

New Construction Inspections

In new construction, a monthly construction inspection is performed to ensure that the work completed is in compliance with plans, specifications and the construction schedule. The job site visit and review of application and certificate for payment verifies that the percentage of construction completed agrees with the pay request prior to payment disbursement to the contractor.

Before you build or purchase an existing home or building be sure to request a property condition assessment from Indoor Environmental Experts, Inc.
